Important Notice

Gurdjieff Internet Guide was started on the 7th of August in 2002 ( which was my 60th birthday), and retires after ten years on the 7th of August 2012, when I will be 70.

Against all odds, it was meant to give an idea of the Gurdjieff Work on the internet focusing on what is happening in it, particularly in our time, and withouth the hush of a "secret teaching". This has been achieved with interviews, articles, videos, book reviews, event listings, forums and other material related to the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff.

I now have the pleasure of thanking all those who have taken part in building it and maintaining it. I have been glad to see the support from the visitors; the numbers of those who visited went quickly up to a few thousand a month, reached a peak at around 35000/month, and settled at the present 5-6000/month level during the past four years. In total there have been over a million visits to the site.

I thank especially those who worked with me! First of all my Swedish artist (musician, painter, webdesigner) friend Kenneth Jonsson, who has been responsible through the ten years for the database creation and maintenance. It was not only once that Kenneth was able to help with the site maintenace, when the server crashed, or when the site was transferred to a new server and the database did not work!

Extended thanks go also to the trio consisting of Kristina and Adam Turner from England and James Kim from the the U. S. This trio edited the website about three years, and made it also availabe on Facebook. Kristina will also most likely continue with her interviews/writings, and these will be shown either here on the site or on the Facebook site. The GIG address on Facebook is: GIG
